In this episode we discuss American Imperial Stout
The snow storm rages on and Bob and I attempt to warm up with an Imperial Stout. This may be one of my top 3 styles. We take a deep dive into the booziness, mouthfeel, and roastiness that is often associated with this style of beer. While our sample beer is a little bit higher than the BJCP guidelines it certainly did the trick when it comes to warming the soul.

- Oscar Blues 10 Fiddy 10.5% 60 IBU
- Sierra Nevada Old Narwhal 10.2% 60IBU
- Founders KBS 12% 70 IBU
- ABV: 8-12%
- IBUs: 50-90
- Color: 30-40 SRM

Beer as described by brewer: This super-extreme Quadruple Oatmeal Russian-style Imperial Stout will tantalize, engulf, and quash your taste buds like no other! Q.O.R.I.S. is even more dark and hoppy than D.O.R.I.S. Double Stout, and stronger than T.O.R.I.S. Triple Stout. Dry-hopped and first-wort-hopped with aromatic American hops to create one great and memorable Imperial Stout!
