This week I travel to Great Lakes Brewing Company in Cleveland, Ohio. I sat down with Michael Williams who does brand coordination and marketing at GLBC. During this interview we learn about the oldest brewery in Ohio and how it came to be. We also talked about the history of the building as it pertained to Eliot Ness and the mysterious bullet holes that may or may not have been intended for Mr. Ness. We also discussed the 2023 beer release calendar that recently just came out which included a few new additions like a low cal watermelon wheat, a couple of new IPAs, a new stout, and the latest edition to the GLBC family which is a hard tea that is set to be released sometime in April. During the interview we tried some classics including: Dortmunder Gold, Conway’s Irish Ale, Eliot Ness Amber Lager, Dank Demon DIPA, an experimental Hazy, and Barrel Aged Black Out Stout.
